Antony Philiastides is a chartered structural engineer with a PhD in the design of steelwork connections. He started work as a structural engineer for Arup in London in 1981 and was involved in the design of many international projects as part of multi-disciplinary teams involving architects, mechanical, and electrical engineers.    In 1990 he left Arup and set up his own consultancy as a structural engineer in Cyprus. He has over 40 years of experience in the design of buildings.  ​ He developed an interest in the Passive Solar Design of buildings in the 1980s and this culminated in founding the Philiastides Passive Solar Building Co. Ltd in Cyprus in 1991.

Andreas Philiastides is a Mechanical Engineer with a degree from the University of Nottingham and a master's degree in Sustainable Building Technology. After working in London for a few years as a Building Services Engineer and managing a property portfolio, he returned to Cyprus to focus on the family business. He is also an active member of ETEK, contributing to the advancement of engineering practices and sustainable design in Cyprus. Outside of work, Andreas enjoys photography, capturing the world through his lens.

Michalis Philiastides is an architect with a degree from the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL. After completing his RIBA Part 2 master's, he worked on architectural projects in central London, focusing on new builds and refurbishments, while gaining experience in property development and real estate portfolio management. Passionate about modular architecture, he explores sustainable design solutions to tackle housing challenges. Michalis is also an avid videographer with a love for new challenges and creative ventures.

Alexandra Philiastides, PhD, is a Senior Medical Writer from Larnaca, Cyprus. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from University College London (UCL) and subsequently completed her PhD in Neuroscience at UCL's Institute of Neurology. Over the course of her four-year doctoral program, Alexandra developed a profound expertise in the biology of prion diseases.  ​ Following her PhD, Alexandra served as an Assistant Research Data Editor at Springer Nature in London, where she honed her editorial skills. She later transitioned to the Bioscript Group in Manchester, taking on the role of Medical Writer. With four years of experience in medical writing, Alexandra has acquired strong science communication and writing skills. She is adept in mentoring and has demonstrated robust leadership while managing a diverse array of medical communication projects for pharmaceutical companies.  Beyond her professional endeavours, Alexandra is a full-time mum, who loves nature walks and cherishes spending time with her family.
